What is the difference between Legend and Hyperliquid?
Legend is a competitive social trading platform built on top of Hyperliquid. Hyperliquid is the underlying exchange — it provides the liquidity, order matching, and on-chain settlement. Legend adds the social and competitive layers: head-to-head Arena matches, ELO rankings, clans, copy-trading, live spectating, and a social feed.TLDR: Hyperliquid is the engine. Legend is the experience built on top of it.
What can I trade on Legend?
You can trade perpetual contracts (perps) on all assets available on Hyperliquid. This includes major crypto assets, memecoins, and more as Hyperliquid continues to add listings.
How do I sign up?
You can sign up with Google, X (Twitter), email, or by connecting an existing wallet via WalletConnect. Legend uses Privy to create a non-custodial embedded wallet for you automatically.
Is Legend available on mobile?
Yes. Legend is available on iOS via the App Store. The full web app is also accessible from any mobile browser at legend.trade.
Can I link accounts together or create sub-accounts?
The Arena is Legend’s competitive trading mode — ranked PvP matches where two traders compete head-to-head over a fixed timeframe. Both players trade with a $10,000 paper trading balance. The trader with the higher ROI% at the end wins the wager. Every match affects your ELO rating and rank.
How do Arena matches work?
Queue up — choose your wager (1−20) and match duration (5m, 15m, 30m, or 1 hour)
Get matched — you’re paired with an opponent at a similar skill level, or challenge someone directly
Trade — both players trade perps using a fixed $10,000 paper trading balance
Settlement — when time runs out, the trader with the higher PnL wins and takes the full pot
How are wagers handled?
Both players commit the same wager amount (between 1and20, in whole dollar increments). Wagers are locked at match start and settled automatically at the end. There is no partial payout — the winner takes the full pot.
What is the Arena Balance?
Each Arena match gives both players a fixed 10,000papertradingbalancetotradewith.Thisisseparatefromyourrealaccountbalance.Thewageramount(1-$20) is the real money at stake — the paper balance is just your trading capital for the match.
What match types are available?
Public Match — standard ranked matchmaking based on your ELO rating. Available 24/7.
Direct Challenge — challenge a specific player by sending them a duel link. Both players agree on wager and duration. Can be ranked or unranked.
Competitions — custom tournaments with configurable budgets (10k−100k) and unlimited participants.
Clan Battles — team-based matches between clans (in development).
Can I spectate matches?
Yes. All Arena matches can be spectated in real-time, including by users who aren’t logged in. Spectators see both players’ PnL, positions, and trades as they happen. Copy-trading is available from the spectator view.
What happens if I lose connection during a match?
Your positions remain open and your PnL continues to update. Arena matches are settled based on final PnL at match end regardless of connection status — there is no pause or restart.
Bridge deposit — deposit USDC from multiple networks, bridged to Hyperliquid’s HyperCore via Unifold
Card deposit — buy USDC with a card via MoonPay
Deposits are routed to your Hyperliquid address on HyperCore automatically.
My deposit is not showing up. What should I do?
Wait 5-10 minutes for the transaction to confirm and bridge. If it still hasn’t arrived, verify that you deposited a supported token on a supported network. If the issue persists, reach out in our Discord for help.
How do I withdraw?
Withdrawals are processed via Unifold. Initiate a withdrawal from the Legend app and choose your destination chain and currency — Unifold supports withdrawing to many chains and currencies for maximum convenience.
My withdrawal is stuck. What should I do?
Withdrawals typically complete within a few minutes. If yours appears stuck, reach out in our Discord with your wallet address and we’ll help resolve it.
Every Legend user gets a unique referral link. When someone signs up through your link and trades, you earn a percentage of the builder fee revenue from their trades. Find your referral link in your profile.
What is the referral rate?
The base referral rate is 10% of builder fee revenue. Higher net deposit tiers (deposits minus withdrawals) unlock better rates:

Tiers are recalculated automatically. Withdrawals lower your net deposit amount, which may reduce your tier.
Do shared chart notes count as referrals?
Yes. When you share a chart note or feed item externally, anyone who signs up through that link is automatically counted as your referral.
Clans are Legend’s team system. Compete together, climb together. Each clan has its own ELO, chat, member list, and shared stats. You can only be in one clan at a time, and clans are capped at 50 members. Clan leaders earn 5% of builder fee revenue from their members’ trades.
How do I create a Clan?
To create a clan, you must have over $100,000 in lifetime notional trading volume on Legend. Once created, you can invite friends or recruit from the leaderboard.
What is copy-trading?
Copy-trading lets you mirror another trader’s positions. You set the dollar amount or percentage of your balance to allocate, and the system matches the target trader’s leverage and direction. You can add your own take-profit and stop-loss levels. Copy-trading is available from trader profiles and match spectator views.
What chat features are available?
Arena chat — live chat with your opponent during a match
Clan chat — persistent group chat for your clan
Direct messages — message any trader on the platform
Group chats — private group conversations
What appears on the feed?
The feed shows real-time activity from traders you follow and your clanmates: trade entries/exits with PnL, Arena match results, and copy-trading events. You can also view the feed scoped to a specific token chart to see what your network traded at key price levels.
Legend follows the Hyperliquid fee model. Fees are based on your rolling 14-day volume. Maker rebates are paid out continuously on each trade. For full details, see the Fees page or Hyperliquid’s fee documentation.
What is the builder code fee?
A builder code fee of 0.05% (5 basis points) is applied on top of standard Hyperliquid trading fees for perpetual trades on Legend. A portion of this fee funds referral payouts and clan leader revenue.
Are there fees for Arena matches?
Arena wagers are settled directly between players. The only costs are the wager amount itself and standard trading fees incurred during the match.
