Evaluation rules, funded accounts, leverage limits, and profit withdrawals
View Markdown ↗Legend Capital is a one-step trading evaluation that unlocks a funded account with profit payouts. Both evaluation and funded trading use simulated balances. Eligible funded profits are paid to your Legend wallet in USDC; the account’s starting capital is not withdrawable.
The Capital selection screen features these account sizes. The fees below are the default one-time evaluation fees:
| Program | Account size | Default fee |
|---|---|---|
| Rookie | $5,000 | $60 |
| Prime | $10,000 | $110 |
| Legend | $25,000 | $275 |
The rules for new evaluations are:
| Rule | Default |
|---|---|
| Profit target | 10% above the starting balance |
| Daily loss allowance | 3% of the day-start realized balance |
| Maximum drawdown | 6% below the original starting balance, static |
| Time limit | None |
| Trader’s share of funded profits | 80% |
| Active accounts | Up to five evaluations and funded accounts combined |
Reach the profit target while staying above both loss floors to pass. For a $10,000 account with a 10% target, the target equity is $11,000. Equity includes unrealized profit and loss on open positions, so loss limits can be breached before a position closes.
Accounts purchased under earlier terms keep their saved fees, percentages, profit split, and drawdown type. Existing 7% trailing / 4% daily accounts do not switch to the new 6% static / 3% daily rules. Passing an existing evaluation also preserves its original rules in the funded phase. Your account dashboard identifies its drawdown type and exact limits.
Both limits apply during evaluation and funded trading. Reaching or falling below either floor fails the account. Trading stops and open positions are closed. A failed account does not resume at the next daily reset; you must purchase a new evaluation to start again.
New accounts use the realized balance at 00:00 UTC to calculate both the daily reference and allowance:
Daily loss floor = day-start balance − (day-start balance × daily loss percentage).
Balance includes realized trading profit or loss, fees, and funding payments. It includes capital held as margin in positions and orders. It excludes unrealized profit or loss on open positions. Equity includes that unrealized profit or loss, and the breach check uses equity.
For a $10,000 balance with a 3% daily loss limit, the allowance is $300 and the floor is $9,700. If the day starts with a realized balance of $10,300, the allowance is $309 and the floor is $9,991. Intraday profits do not move this daily floor upward.
Equity = balance + unrealized profit or loss.
Margin is capital held for a position or order. Using capital as margin does not remove it from your account balance. Balance is not the same as free cash that you can use for another order.
The examples below exclude fees and funding payments to keep the calculations simple. Actual fees and funding payments change your balance.
You have a $10,000 balance and use all of it as margin for a BTC position. Your free cash is $0, but your balance is still $10,000.
| BTC unrealized profit or loss | Balance | Equity |
|---|---|---|
| $0 | $10,000 | $10,000 |
| +$500 | $10,000 | $10,500 |
| −$200 | $10,000 | $9,800 |
| −$300 | $10,000 | $9,700 |
At 00:00 UTC, the $10,000 balance sets a 3% daily allowance of $300 and a floor of $9,700. Unrealized profit at midnight does not raise this reference. If equity later reaches $9,700, the account fails even if the BTC position is still open.
You close a trade with a $300 profit. Your balance increases from $10,000 to $10,300. This does not move the current daily floor upward.
If that balance remains $10,300 at the next 00:00 UTC reset, the new daily allowance is $10,300 x 3% = $309. The new floor is $10,300 − $309 = $9,991.
A $300 unrealized profit on an open trade does not increase balance. If balance is still $10,000 at midnight, the next daily floor remains $9,700.
A new $10,000 account has a $9,700 daily floor and a $9,400 static maximum drawdown floor. If equity falls to $9,700, it breaches the daily limit. The account fails even though equity is still above $9,400.
The next daily reset does not restore a failed account. The two loss limits apply independently.
Existing accounts keep their saved daily rule: a fixed percentage of the original starting balance, subtracted from day-start equity. The dashboard shows the floor that applies to your account.
Static drawdown floor = original starting balance × (1 − maximum drawdown percentage).
The 6% floor stays fixed at $4,700 for Rookie, $9,400 for Prime, or $23,500 for Legend. Profits do not raise this floor, withdrawals do not lower it, and it does not reset at midnight. For example, a $10,000 account that grows to $10,800 still has a $9,400 overall floor. The daily loss floor remains independently binding.
The maximum drawdown follows the account’s highest recorded equity, also called its high-water mark:
Trailing drawdown floor = high-water mark × (1 − maximum drawdown percentage).
For a 7% limit, the floor is 93% of the high-water mark. A $10,000 account initially has a $9,300 floor. If equity reaches $10,800, the floor rises to $10,044. A later drop to $10,044 or below breaches the account, even though equity is still above the starting balance.
The high-water mark includes unrealized gains and does not fall when trading equity falls. It does not reset at midnight. Approved withdrawals adjust the account’s risk references as described below.
Leverage caps apply in both phases:
| Market | Maximum leverage |
|---|---|
| BTC and ETH | 5x |
| HIP-3 builder markets, including equities, indices, commodities, and FX | 4x |
| Other native crypto perpetuals | 2x |
Some markets may be unavailable or have lower leverage limits. Follow the available markets, margin mode, and limits shown in your Capital account.
Available order types are shown in the trading interface. Stop orders do not replace your responsibility to stay above both loss floors.
Trading costs affect your equity and progress toward the target. Capital trading fees include exchange and Legend fees, with no volume-based discounts. For native perpetuals, the combined fee is 0.065% for maker fills and 0.095% for taker fills. HIP-3 exchange fees vary by market. Slippage can also affect your execution price.
Your account moves into the funded phase. Open evaluation positions are closed, and the trading balance, high-water mark, and loss floors reset to the original account size. Evaluation profits do not carry into the funded balance or become withdrawable.
Funded trading keeps your account’s saved daily loss limit and drawdown type and percentage. There is no further profit target. The default profit split pays you 80% of eligible profits, with 20% retained by Legend; your account’s saved split determines the actual payout.
Request a payout from your Capital dashboard after closing all open positions. Only eligible profit above the original starting balance is available. Profit reserved for an unresolved payout cannot be requested again.
For example, withdrawing $1,000 of gross profit at an 80% split pays you $800 USDC and uses $1,000 of the rolling allowance.
When a payout completes, the full gross amount is removed from the simulated trading balance. The daily loss floor is adjusted to account for the withdrawal. On static accounts, the overall floor stays fixed relative to the original starting balance: withdrawing profits removes that extra cushion without moving the floor. Existing trailing accounts retain their withdrawal adjustments to the high-water mark; a payout does not buy back previously used trailing loss allowance. Check the updated risk figures before continuing to trade.
You can withdraw the remaining eligible profit and permanently close the funded account. Close all positions first. The entire remaining gross profit must fit within your rolling allowance; otherwise, withdraw within the cap and close later when the remainder fits. The $10 partial-withdrawal minimum does not apply to this final payout.
Closing an account with no eligible profit simply settles it without a payout. A settled account can no longer trade.
