# Wagers

> Stake sizes, payouts, and rules

When you enter an Arena match, both players commit a wager upfront. The winner takes the pot.

* Minimum wager is \$10 USDC
* Wager sizes are fixed per match — both players put up the same amount
* Wagers are denominated in USDC
* Wagers are locked at the start of the match and settled automatically at the end
* There is no partial payout — the trader with the higher PnL at match end takes the full wager

## Protocol Fee

A 2.5% protocol fee is applied to the winner's profit (not the original wager). For example, if both players wager $100, the winner receives their $100 back plus \$97.50 of the loser's wager. Ties return both wagers in full with no fee.

## Wallet Activation

A one-time \$1 Hyperliquid wallet activation fee applies to your first duel. This is charged by Hyperliquid when funds are first sent to your arena wallet.

Wagers are resolved on-chain via smart contracts.
