# Fees

> Trading fees on Legend

Legend trades are executed on [Hyperliquid](https://hyperliquid.xyz). Your total fee on each trade has two parts: the **Hyperliquid network fee** and the **Legend platform fee**.

## Hyperliquid Network Fees

Hyperliquid charges volume-tiered maker/taker fees based on your rolling 14-day trading volume, assessed at the end of each day in UTC.

There are separate fee schedules for perpetuals and spot. Both count toward a single volume tier, with spot volume weighted double:

**14d weighted volume** = (14d perps volume) + 2 × (14d spot volume)

Stable-pair spot markets (e.g. USDC/USDT) are charged at **0.2×** the standard spot rate.

**Maker rebates** are paid out on each fill directly to your trading wallet when your maker rate is negative.

Sub-account volume counts toward your master account, and all sub-accounts share the same fee tier.

## Legend Platform Fee

A platform fee (builder code fee) is charged on every trade placed through Legend, on top of the Hyperliquid network fee:

| Perpetuals | 0.05%        |
| Spot       | 0.25%        |

## Total Fee

Your total fee per trade is the sum of both components:

**Total fee** = Hyperliquid network fee + Legend platform fee

For example, a taker perpetual trade at the base volume tier costs:

* Hyperliquid taker fee: 0.045%
* Legend platform fee: 0.05%
* **Total: 0.095%**

## Referred User Cashback

Users who signed up through a referral link earn **10% cashback** on Legend platform fees from losing trades. This cashback accrues automatically and can be claimed from the Rewards section in your profile.
